Xperia Have Features Similar to iPhone. Sony announced it will launch a new feature called "My
Xperia", Monday (02/04/2013). This feature is similar with its "Find
My Phone" Apple has a function to help users find their phones are lost or
stolen.
However, these services cannot be enjoyed by all Xperia users. Present in beta, My Xperia only be used in the Xperia acro S only. That
was just in the region of Northern Europe.
After the device, Sony Mobile plans to bring the service to
all Xperia devices; the minimum is based on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich,
which was launched in 2012 ago.
Globally, Sony Mobile plans to bring the service My Xperia
in the 2nd quarter of 2013. Most likely, this service will be available in the
latest devices like the Xperia Z, which was introduced at CES 2013.
Quoted from Pocket Lint, the service is likely to be easy to
use. Users can activate My Xperia directly via the "Settings".
After turning on this feature, users can login using their
Google account through the site myxperia.sonymobile.com. Through the site,
users can see the location where the phone they are through the map, issued a
notification sound on the phone, lock the phone, and delete data internally and
externally.
Apple is also offering the same services with My Xperia through its Find My Phone. In addition, there are also some applications in the
App Store and Google Play Store also offers similar services.
